Call for Submissions - The Centrifugal Eye

The Centrifugal Eye

Housekeeping found this note on the floor:

TCE's premier issue launched in mid-November, 2005. It's still alive and kicking, and with an even more vibrant voice, thanks to its fabulous contributors of the past 4+ years. If you're interested in submitting, please see submission guidelines on TCE's website for more details.

Return from Banishment

I can't believe I'm back online! It's been 2 months of frenzied painting and writing, and today our studio phone was turned back on. We have decided to head to Canada sooner than originally planned. Seattle no longer supports our work, and I have long been eager to live further north. I have a dream of creation, and all my ruminating points this way to success.

Glad to be back.

Violette Renee

Here is the latest custom-painted box I finished in-studio. It's bright and punchy, just like the customer requested. I liked the result so much, I wanted to share the brightest splash of sunshine in my life at the moment!

Although not commissioned, I also created a companion box finished in gold-leaf, titled "Violette Carte Postale", named for the vintage, victorian postcards the top was designed after. This one will be placed for sale in the studio, and shown during the open house gallery, February 11th-13th.

Visualization Works!

Unbelievable. D's check arrived today, and it was for double the amount billed. The day before, I spent 15 minutes visualizing a check being handed to me with a $1 in front of zeroes. Maybe the zeroes were a bit fuzzy! Next time I'll add a few more.

Is Voodoo Keeping At Bay Throngs of Poetry Surfers?

I wasn't going to go political today, but the only thing on the news is the Presidential Inauguration and Parade. Seattle is holding a demonstration, and reports have some folks here burning a Bush effigy, drawn and quartered. I'm no Bush fan, but even I'm turned off by that sort of display. I mean, what happened to sticking pins?

Question, dear writers:
How do you feel about incorporating editing suggestions made by peers, colleagues or a prospective journal editor?
